Cold
My ears are ice, my nose is numb I’ve lost feeling in my toes, fingers and thumbs Soon I’ll get hypothermia and die I’m losing to gravity, though bravely I try My skis flew off to god knows where The water soaked down to my underwear My breath makes clouds in my fractured glasses While white snowflakes mock in their fluffy masses I stumble and fall, how do people say this is fun? I’m a carrot eaten by the bunny run.
Poetry is using words to convey emotion and meaning. This is different from prose because it is arranged in lines, doesn’t follow normal grammatical rules and is much more expressive and artistic.
